Killinaskully is an Irish television comedy which details the bizarre goings-on in a fictitious Irish village called Killinaskully located in the hills of Ireland. It is actually filmed on location in the villages of Killoscully and Ballinahinch in County Tipperary, the title being a fusion of these two placenames. The show's humour comes from the unusual characterisations of traditional, stereotypical rural Irish folk. The show is chiefly written by the comedian, Pat Shortt, who also performs many of his own roles.

Killinaskully is produced by Shortt's own company and has been broadcast by RT� as part of their Sunday night schedule since 2004. The first three series are available on DVD and VHS. The show is currently in its fifth and final series, having begun transmission on September 28, 2008.

Season 2, Ep 1: The Election

It is time for Killinaskully town council elections and, as usual, Willie Power is the likely candidate. However, things begin to turn bad for Willie when Dieter enters the race as a Green Party candidate, promising reforms. Meanwhile, chaos ensues in Jacksie's. The publican's niece plans to take toasted sandwiches, Taytos and Pink Snacks off the menu.

9. Season 2, Ep 2: The Dogs

To lengthen the odds for a big race, Willie wants Jimmy to nobble his prize greyhound, Moyganny Lady, so she will lose her next two races. Meanwhile, Dieter plans to pop the question to Miss Fahy.

A visit from the gung-ho US President, Zachary Taylor Madison, fills the Killinaskullians with excitement. But when the town is taken over by Secret Service agents, only Dan, Killinaskully's own spin master, can put the president in his place.

11. Season 2, Ep 4: The Night Out

While Nurse Maloney tries to whip Timmy into shape, the wedding of the year is put on hold after Dieter is found in a compromising position in the ladies' toilet. Despite the best efforts of Cantwell to take advantage of the situation and Miss Fahy, a romantic gesture of Hollywood proportions saves the day.

12. Season 2, Ep 5: The Ad

Dan gets more than he bargained for when he places an ad in the lonely hearts page of the Gazette, while Jacksie and Fr. Philip go head to head over the "whatcha-call-it" machine in the Gents.

The Killinaskullians are poised to take on arch enemy, Bally, in the second Annual One-Act Drama Festival. It's been fifty years since the first one, so all eyes are on Dan as he thatches the set of "The Priest And The Pot O' Soup" but, with it being Hallowe'en, there might be a scary outcome.

D'Unbelievables









D'Unbelievables is an Irish comic duo. It was formed in late 80s by Pat Shortt and Jon Kenny in Limerick. Together they created characters which could be seen on every street corner and every pub in Ireland. They toured extensively all over Ireland for almost a decade until Jon Kenny was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease in 2000. He has recovered and can be now seen in gigs all over Ireland. Pat Shortt meanwhile launched his solo career in late 90s and is the main force behind the success of his new RTE comedy series Killinascully.

A comeback has always been given a "never say never" response whenever either man is interviewed about the matter, but as of yet there hasn't been any productive signs. However, in December 2005, three of their past shows "D'Video", "D'Telly", and "D'Mother", were released on DVD for the first time ever, a sign that they hadn't gone away yet. The DVD was entitled "D'Collection" and received a decent amount of radio and television advertising in Ireland.

The DVD was met with a good response sales wise, but the transfer of "D'Mother" section of the DVD was heavily criticised. The picture quality is especially poor throughout this part of the DVD, leaving some to argue that it should have been released as a box set, with three separate discs, or double disc at the very least, rather than compressing the three shows to fit onto one disc.

Zigmund Ambrose Zogley and Zagnatius Hillery Zogley[1] (born 29 February on Zog), widely regarded as Zig and Zag are a pair of fictional extraterrestrial twins, portrayed by puppets, who have achieved global recognition on MTV. They made their television d�but on RT�s Dempseys Den in 1987. Zig and Zag's tireless efforts to entertain the children of Ireland finally paid off in 1989 when the pair were honoured with a Jacob's Award, becoming the first extraterrestrials to achieve this feat. Other notable feats include becoming the first extraterrestrials to commission a highly successful series of comic books, a #1 selling video Nothing to do with Toast and a #1 selling album Never Mind The Zogabongs...Here's Zig and Zag. Their television career includes The Den, The Big Breakfast, 2Phat, MTV's Most Wanted and The Zig and Zag Show. In October 2008 to celebrate the duo's 21st anniversary of their first appearance on Irish Television the DVD is entitled Best Bitz From Back Den and features a compilation of links, music items and Christmas Specials spanning Zig and Zag's years on The Den between 1987 and 1993.
