VST Soundfont Player with Piano Samples
This package includes the SaviHost VST host and the VSTHost included with the original player + a beautiful Roland Piano soundfont sampled from a real Roland Piano. Also includes two other pianos.
I thought I'd upload this because a couple months ago I was looking for a nice easy piano to test out my new MIDI keyboard with and I couldn't find anything apart from Native Instruments Akoustik Piano which was somewhere in the 5GB download region. This is exactly what I was looking for at the time.

SFZ Soundfont Player VSTi
Outstanding sound quality, built-in effects, adjustable CPU/quality settings to adjust it to your hardware, fully multitimbral operation and several loading modes including direct-from-disk streaming make sfz the perfect choice for SoundFont enthusiasts and composers. A 'must-have' for any freebie-hunter.

I have also uploaded several utilities:
ASIO4ALL, so that you can have ASIO with your onboard soundcard if you don't have an expensive one - this should give you far lower latency than Microsoft's crappy MME driver.

ASIO4ALL is a hardware independent low latency ASIO driver for WDM audio devices. It uses WDM Kernel-Streaming and sometimes even more sophisticated methods to achieve its objectives.

DSW Piano to turn your PC Keyboard into a MIDI keyboard
| Quote: |
DSW Piano is a small yet powerful program that lets you play music on your computer. The only thing you need is Windows, and a keyboard.
DSW Piano transforms your keyboard into a piano, or any of the 128 General MIDI instruments available on any computer with a soundcard! |
MIDIYoke to act as a virtual MIDI cable to route between DSW Piano and SFZ
| Quote: |
MIDI Yoke is normally used to connect two applications together. The first application will open MIDI Yoke 1 as an output port, and the 2nd application will open MIDI Yoke 1 as an input port. MIDI data will travel from the first application to the 2nd. |

Instructions:
1. Unrar anywhere
2. Double-click on either sfz.exe, or sfz1.exe (both do the same thing but sfz.exe has more features)
3. In the program goto "Devices->Wave" (for sfz.exe) and select your output port - you want an ASIO one if available; or if using sfz1.exe goto "ASIO" and select your ASIO driver, then you specify your Output
4. If you have a MIDI keyboard goto ("Device"->)MIDI and choose it
5. If you don't have a MIDI keyboard you can use DSW Piano in the utilities file to convert your PC keyboard into a MIDI one - you'll also need MIDIYoke (a virtual MIDI cable) to send the MIDI from the DSW output to the MIDI input of sfz.exe
6. Once you have a keyboard set up, load one of the .sf2 files from the SFZ file browser (NOT THE VSTHOST File menu)
7. Away you go |
It would be cool if you could DL either of these as a free user (they're only small) but, hey - do what you want

Some of these SF files have more than one set of samples (program) so change the program number in SFZ to explore these |
