- Win Server 2008 is based on the Vista kernel, reported to be more stable and reliable then actual Vistas, my prefered choice!!!
- Most keygens/patches/cracks etc are most likely detected as trojan generic or packer by your AV (depending on your level of scanning/settings). You may ignore this and verify that you have a clean system by doing a system scan with your AV and you will notice that your disk is fine. Since I have tested all of them, I can verify that my system is not affected in any way. Stay clean!

I found a certain installation pattern crucial. I came across with the following, personal preference:

01. Backup any files from your previous system(s) first. Write down the serial if needed!
02. Format your drive(s) (raw/new format only), partitions are prefered (for backups or/and multiple OS installation),mostly you will install your Windows OS on C: letter.
03. Install your prefered OS. XP/Vista first, followed by additional OS using Acronis OS Selector (which will prevent overwriting your MBR on your HDD), as such is useful once you have tried a MAC OSx86 Leopard etc to install on your second partition...ups!
04. After a successfull installation, crack/patch your copy to make it fully legit (if applicable). Internet connection is disabled. Make a system restore (this System restore is a must!). Do not use the internal Windows Updating software yet, you can do that later. More details as below written, cordially provided by Billy G. thankS!
05. Install all your system drivers first, step by step; Intel/AMD drivers, graphic, ethernet, sound driver etc. Make a system restore (this System restore is a must!). You might at this stage install your Zipper/Packer if you use Appz zipped.
06. At this point I recommend as a second security step to install the uninstaller software with log file, any following app you may install now with the installer/uninstaller monitor.
06. Install your AV, Registry cleaner and Anti-Spyware, step-by-step. Make a system restore. (Updates AFTER patching/cracking with system scan as an option).
07. Install MS Office, crack it/patch it, make a system restore. (Updates AFTER patching/cracking is optional).
08. Install Codec pack(s). Make a system restore.
09. Install Disk Defrag, etc. Make a system restore. (Updates AFTER patching/cracking is optional).
10. Install Burner Software, Music Appz, crack it/patch it. Make a system restore. (Updates AFTER patching/cracking is optional).
11. Install Zipper (if not done yet) and P2P Solution, Iso Maker, Messenger, Download Manager and Screen Capture Appz. Make a system restore.
12. Finally install theme package. Make a system restore.
13. Update your OS.
14. Update all other appz you have installed optionally. Make a system restore, this last system restore will give you a fresh and working system setup! |
Why so many system restores?
Simple, system restores will help you going back one step in case anything went wrong. This comes in handy since basically any application can cause problems, especially drivers!
I very much recommend this to do, although it takes more minutes during the install process.

Straight forward, do a first clean HD format (raw/new) of your hard disk partioned (prefered). Install the OS as usual, disk may ask you for the key.
After installation check with the activation tool, whether the Os is legit, if not, use the tool and make it so. Done...Finally, give it an update. VL is short for Valid License basically. Service Pack 3 is included.
Bootable ISO file
- Unattended setup
- Pre-Activated, so you don't need any activation trick.
- CD-KEY (original Volume License Key) is integrated so you don't have to enter aything.
How to use:
- Download all files and move them into one folder
- Use WinRAR to extract the file "faXcooL_en_winxp_pro_with_sp3_vl.iso"
- Use Alcohol, MagicISO or UltraISO to burn the ISO file on CD.
- Enjoy.

As above mentioned, fresh install, raw HDD format, partioned and install as in the usual way. The OS will ask you for the key after you activated your copy with the vista crack. The crack in the DL included. Since this is a Vista Ultimate crack, I could not find a windows server 2008 crack yet. Use this crack and your copy will be partly a server edition and a Vista Ultimate edition. Cool right...

Install info
This is how you activate your Windows Server 2008 copy (any version/language):
*After installing Windows Server 2008 to your computer, click Start -> Run and type Services (or go to Start -> Program -> Admin tools and choose services from there).
*Go to Services->Software Licensing and choose "Disabled" as Startup method.
*Reboot your computer, when rebooted, go to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing and delete the tokens.dot file there, replacing it with the one from this package. Yet again, go to Services->Software Licensing and choose "Automatic" as Startup method.
*Run the vistaactivation.exe file (as included), activate your computer as if it was running Vista Ultimate. (Should any errors occur, just neglect them.) Restart your computer.
*After reboot, Windows Server 2008 will now ask for a cd-key, use the following key:

*Now you've got a activated Windows Server 2008 version.
*So what's the downside with all this? The computer is semi-recognized as Vista Ultimate now, but server roles should still apply as if they were part of the Server 2008 version. |

Well one of many, and i am quite happy with this edition, it comes with a keygen and patch (your AV will probably give you a virus alert and removes the patch), so uncheck your current protection, afterwards install the app according to the install log. I on purpose do not ues the security suite since i think its overloaded with options i don't need, so i stick to the AV version, but the choice is yours of course.

Partition Magic 8.0 Pro (XP ONLY)
A must have "care taker" for your HDD and removable Disks, use this software for partitioning, merging, creating and error checking etc. The 8.0 version was one of the last appz by PowerQuest, newly supplied by Norton, so the choice is yours. Install Info to the 4.3.x version, this one gives you a bit headache and may not work on the first go, let's give it a try. Important is that you register an account on their website with a trial license otherwise it may not work, at least in my case.

1. Go to the Disc-Soft website and register a real account, use that to activate the trial.
2. Start a virtual IDE drive. Close the program, also running components of it (end process via ctrl+alt+del, then "start task manager" and kill the daemon tools app process).
3. COPY the TEXT from the host file in the daemontoolpro folder you extracted and paste it into the host file at the bottom (in your windows/system32/drivers/etc folder). If you have previsouly added a text line of the bitdefender AV or any other, just added right below that address.
4. Make sure the host file isn't hidden or locked and use notepad to open it.
5. Install the .exe from DTP4300303PRO, the soft, by using the paid licence option.
6. when asked for the licence, use the "dtproAdv-key-1.4300302" (move the license file to the desktop first), for the mail use the one from the trial license or try a fake one (might not work with a fake one).
7. During the installation you will get some errors, just click retry and it should go smoothly.
8. Copy the "ext.dll" to your softwarez instalation folder (Program Files/..).
9. Start the soft and u will have a legit DT PRO ADVANCED copy!

Now, the tricky part is that if the installation was not succesful at all you can not retry the entire process, it probably savs the trial license somewhere in the registry which I could not find out, so I had to go back to the 4.1.x version, after a new OS install i make it work then with the registered trial license and it works.
