(This one is easily my favorite by far)
Produced by Cirque du Soleil Images and Serpent Films. With 15 cameras, including one "flying cam" on wires, Quidam is all about motion and emotion. As a little girl named Zo� meanders through a succession of startling acts (the German wheel, the four diabolos, the skipping ropes and many more) viewers at home will feel caught up in the action and in the constantly shifting fabric of personalities, vibrant with incredible, often sexy energy.
Meanwhile, Cirque's splendid flair for multiculturalism will resonate with all segments of the viewing audience, adding immeasurably to the fun.
Filmed live in Amsterdam in 1999 following a successful three-year tour across North America.

Journey of Man (1999)
A visual and musical celebration that follows a mystical journey through the stages of man, from birth to maturity. this film was shot in spectacular locations around the world. Each setting is introduced by a Cirque du Soleil act.
The filmmakers saw this, the first 3D/2D IMAX� film from Cirque du Soleil, as a unique opportunity to take the performers out from under the big top or permanent theater and place them in a bold cinematic experience. Cirque du Soleil� Journey of Man was filmed over a four month period using an IMAX� Solido (rhymes with Toledo) twin camera. An Iwerks 8-perf / 70mm 3D rig was also used for certain scenes to create a specific effect.
Expanding beyond the "big top," the Cirque du Soleil� artists were filmed
on location. These locations served as dramatic backdrops against which the artists would perform. Shot at various natural and historical landmarks around the world, each location was chosen carefully to meet the requirements of the story, the producers, the performers, and Cirque du Soleil� .
Filming Cirque du Soleil� Journey of Man around the world was a logistical challenge mainly due to the incredible schedules of the performers. Unlike a typical feature film in which the actors� sole job is to act, the Cirque du Soleil� artists had to play dual roles. Working seven days a week, they performed on stage throughout the week and then acted in the film on their days off. Since the artists were on tour in a variety of shows, in different countries on different continents, the entire production of the film had to be coordinated in conjunction with the location and availability of the artists.

Deep within a forest, at the summit of a volcano, exists an extraordinary world - a world where anything is possible. From the sky falls a solitary young man into the shadows of a magical forest, a kaleidoscopic world populated by fantastical creatures. This young man sets off on an adventure both absurd and extraordinary. On this day at the edge of time, in this place of all possibilities, begins an inspired incantation to life rediscovered.
