With Roots Above and Branches Below is to be the third studio album by American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada. The album will be released May 5, 2009.

Quote:| During their 2008 tour, The Devil Wears Prada began playing "I Hate Buffering" to live audiences. On February 6, 19, and March 1, 2009, the band released videos of studio updates to the public, which revealed the title of the album, and additionally included short clips of "Dez Moines" , "Assistant To The Regional Manager" and "Gimme Half".[3][4][5] Vocalist Mike Hranica said, "We're really excited for this album. It's definitely going to be darker, heavier, and more epic. Expect a much heavier, more metal record."[1] Drummer Daniel Williams states that the new album will be wilder and crazier containing parts that repeat, like choruses, and James Baney says that the new album will be more mechanical, but still containing their same distinct style.[4] "With Roots Above and Branches Below" entails a more aggresive and steady vocal style than in the two previous albums.
