How to get your iPhone/iPod UUID before updating:

1) Start iTunes and connect your iPhone/iPod Touch.

2) On the Summary page for your iPhone/iPod, click on the word "Serial Number:" text. Note that the serial number is not the same as the UUID



3) After you click on the words "Serial Number:", it should change to the word "Identifier", followed by a long string of numbers and digits. This long string is your UUID.



4) Press CTRL+C (Windows) or Command/AppleKey + C (Mac) and the UUID will be copied to the clipboard, which can then be pasted into an e-mail or sent by private message to me here.

How to get your iPhone UUID after updating to 3.0 and not activated:

Mac OS X:

Connect your device and go to APPLE sign on the top left corner / About this Mac / More Info / USB / iPhone (iPod) and get the serial from there:

Please note:
Do not upgrade to 3.0 beta2 if you're using an unlocked iPhone, as this will render your iPhone to factory settings and will be locked. There is no unlock solution for the newest baseband in OS 3.0
