Valve has changed since 22 October 2008 the engine of our "adorable" game . Many of you who play with steam and try to get on the server no-steam protocol problem you encountered. Basically it is just an ad that says he will try to connect to a server using an old protocol, 47, now when Counter-Strike Steam uses protocol 48.

, with this new kit and patches , you will be able to play on the new protocol 48
Here's what you have to do:
1. Install the game
2. Install cs16_patch_full_v35 (in the same place where your game is instaled)
3. Install cs16patch_protocol_v48 (in the same place where your game is instaled)
4. Play
If let's say the patch doesn't do it's job about the steam thing you can use this :
(but I think 99,999% you won't need it - it's a registry fix)
